Farm leasing meeting to be held in Shenandoah tomorrow

A meeting for Iowa farmers to learn more about Farm Leasing is coming up tomorrow afternoon in Shenandoah. Extension Director for Page County, Kimberly Cavalier, says Farm Management Specialist Patrick Hatting is speaking at the meeting.

"We know that farmer ownership here in Iowa that there are a lot of different ways that you can run your farm.  One of the things that Patrick is going to be talking about is farm leasing.  He's going to be talking about the cash rental rates and land values throughout Iowa and especially here in southwest Iowa."

Cavalier adds the meeting will be around two hours long.

"The meeting is going to be held at the Shenandoah Public Library in the basement meeting room.  It starts at 1:30.  If you still do want to attend, we can still take your registration.  It's important that you give us a call so we'll have enough meeting booklets there.  And you can call us at 712-542-5171.  And again the meeting is at 1:30 in the Shenandoah Library basement."

Anyone interested in the meeting should contact the Page County Extension office.
